Christine Mangia

Columbus native Christine Mangia, who joined BalletMet in 2001 after two years dancing with Dayton Ballet, trained as a scholarship student at Milwaukee Ballet School and Columbus Youth Ballet. Ms. Mangia received the Josephine and Hermene Schwartz Award from the Dayton Ballet and an Arts Achievement Award from Wright State University, where she also studied. She has also choreographed for the Young People’s Ballet Theatre and New American Youth Ballet. Her favorite roles include Clara in The Nutcracker, Harrison McEldowney’s Call It Off and the pas de deux in Jimmy Orrante’s Touch. She is married to dancer Justin Gibbs.
