dance up-town
EditDance up-town is an affiliate of Copenhagen City Ballet. Copenhagen City Ballet (CCB) is a youth ensemble, founded in 1992 by Astra Sterns. (The original semi-professional Co., CCB, was founded in 1978). On April 15th 2006, CBB will be performing in St. Petersburg, at the Rimsky-Korsakov Censervatory Theater. The project is a cultural exchnage program involving apprentices from the Riga School of Choreography, in Latvia, in collaboration with the Danish Institute of Culture in St. Petersburg, director Rikke Helms. The program will include “The Little Match Girl” and the premiere of “The Little Mermaid’s Dream”, also choreographed by Astra Sterns.
