Founded on June 22 1977, the National Ballet Company of Portugal is a technically versatile company, open to explore the most important works on the choreographic patrimony of the 19th and 20th century, including choreographies by Bournonville, Petipa, Fokine, Skibine, Balanchine, Lifar, Lichine, J. Limon and by the portuguese choreographers Fernando Lima, Carlos Trincheiras, Armando Jorge and Olga Roriz.
This company’s aim is the promotion and spreading of formation, edition, animation, investigation and communication initiatives tending to the diffusion of the love for Dance.
